CrossFit Games 2010: Part Two

What was it like compared to last year? Well for one we were not eating dirt the entire time! We actually had a lot more rest this year. We even got to eat. I took two 15 to 20 min naps on Saturday before we had to do a couple more workouts. I was able to go right into an ice bath after the WODs which was very helpful. For those of you who have not gotten to experience the ice bath… well lets just say it SUCKS! The Lulu girls were in the back with three ice baths and they had it down on the timer, the good vibes, and the great swag!  clothes that is…

As far as the rest of the facility, well they used it as well as it could be. The construction of the pull up bars, muscle up bars, the walls, the ropes, it was awesome.  They even used the bleachers in the tennis stadium, brilliant!  As far as the collection of workouts well, they covered it all, almost.  I would like to have seen something as long as the run last year.  It is a time domain that has to be tested.  However, I know that some are thinking that that is why the quadruple Helen was put in.  Yes, it was long but 24 min and then the top athletes were doing it in 15 to 18.  Just saying.   As far as loads and technicalities, it was all in there.  Good job HQ!

I will say that the rope climb was by far the worst for me.  The truth is, if I was in better condition, I would have been able to climb the rope.  As you could see those that were in the top shape managed to finish the last WOD or at least compete in it.  Dangerous… yes, doable, yes!

I liked the games.  Fittest on earth, oh maybe not, but fit none the less and tough as old boots!  The bottom line, get really good at CrossFit, get your mind right, and you may be able to win the CrossFit Games 2011!

I already told you, but you are such an inspiration. You do so much and still find the time to give to others. That Hood to Coast race looks like it’s right up your alley! Hopefully, I’ll see you soon!!!
